Job Description:

Perform the technical procedures involved in the operation of a Transfusion Service / Blood Banking. Perform all activities related to patient testing and processing of blood products in preparation for issue to patients.

Shift: Evenings

Requirements:

Education:

To qualify, you should have a B.S. biological sciences or M.T. and must meet the NYS Department of Education Licensing requirements for Clinical Lab Technologists. ASCP or NCA certification preferred. Must be NY state licensed or have work letter.

Experience:

At least 4 year working as a Laboratory Technologist in a Blood Bank, Transfusion Service or as a Generalist with Blood Bank experience.

Shift: Evening Shift 3P-11A (15% shift diff as applicable)

Salary: $53-58K

Skills and Abilities: Must meet NYSDOH technologist requirements. Computer literate. Ability to use and familiarity with cell washers, blood irradiators, and plasma thawers.
