We are seeking an experienced DOSIMETRIST to join our highly professional team in Radiation Oncology. This is a full-time position working the day shift, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
Must be CMD - Certified Medical Dosimetrist. A graduate of a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) accredited Radiation Therapist program or equivalent, in addition to one of the following: Medical Dosimetry certification from the MDCB, or graduate of an accredited program for medical Dosimetry, with a minimum of 1 year work experience in Dosimetry.
Working under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist and the general supervision of the Medical Physicist, produces patient plans of treatment. Also responsible for radioactive material and safe handling, and must be competent in all components of Radiation Therapy.
Must have a minimum of 1 year work experience as a Medical Dosimetrist. Familiarity with IMRT, IGRT, and brachytherapy preferred.
Certifications Required: CMD certification. AHA (American Heart Association) CPR certification required.
Other Qualifications: Must be able to work quickly and accurately to develop and implement the best treatment plan for each patient. Must be able to work under pressure and a demanding schedule.
