PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES.  All Contractor HCP’s shall meet the qualifications for that specialty and perform essentially the same functions, within the scope of acceptable for their technical professional discipline and standard, as those required by Army or government service technical professionals of similar experience and in similar duty assignments.  Contractor HCP practices/productivity will be compared to that of other Contractor HCP assigned to the same medical center.
HCPs performing on this contact shall have at a minimum:
  • Have an Associate degree in Electroneurophysiology and documentation of a 12 month apprenticeship.  Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable.Have and maintain Registration as an EEG technician with the American Board of Registration of EEG, CNIM & EP Technologists (ABRET) or the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Techs (AAEET).  The EEG Technician should have 1 year experience with at least 100 successfully completed EEGs.
  • BCLS
  • The contract HCP shall have received Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) required training for the position in which they will perform, and that training currency is maintained.  Documentation of such training shall be provided to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
  •  No records or convictions involving any form of chemical dependency, previous convictions of felonious nature, or any adverse actions pending by any Board of Medicine. 
The contract EEG Tech is responsible for recording a variety of physiologic parameters such as respiratory, tremors, EKG and eye movements and correlates data with clinical and electroencephalographic events. Performs regular sleep and wake records and cerebral death records. Performs localization routines utilizing any of several montages (placements of leads for monopolar or biopolar tracings).
The EEG Technician:  Normal duty hours for EEG Technician are 0730 - 1600 Monday through Friday.  This includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. (Excluding legal federal holidays) is owned, operated, and copyrighted by Career Marketplace (© 2002-2018, All Rights Reserved)
